Microwave the cake mix until it reaches 165°F to kill any bacteria, about 1 minute.

Add cream cheese to a mixer and beat well. Add whipped topping and beat well. Pour in cake mix and milk and beat well. If mixture is too thick, you can add additional milk, 2 tablespoons at a time.

Spoon into a serving dish and top with sprinkles. Serve immediately with animal crackers or graham crackers, or refrigerate, covered, until ready to serve.
