Dutch Honey Vanilla Butter Syrup (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Syrup Base

01 - 1 cup granulated sugar
02 - 1 cup heavy cream
03 - 1/2 cup salted butter
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
05 - 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

# Instructions:

01 - In a heavy bottom saucepan, combine the sugar, cream, butter and vanilla extract.
02 - Heat to a low boil, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon.
03 - Reduce to simmer and continue to stir until it thickens, approximately 5-10 minutes.
04 - Right before removing from the heat, stir in the baking soda until completely dissolved.
05 - Serve immediately while warm or allow to cool completely before refrigerating.
