# Ingredients:

→ Filling

01 - 2 pounds lean ground beef
02 - 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
03 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
04 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
05 - 1 cup diced onion
06 - 2 cups Dr. Pepper Barbecue Sauce

→ Serving

07 - 6 to 8 soft sandwich buns

# Steps:

01 - Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, granulated garlic, kosher salt, and black pepper. Stir and cook until the beef begins to brown.
02 - Add diced onion to the skillet. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until onions are softened and beef has crisped in some areas.
03 - Pour in Dr. Pepper Barbecue Sauce. Stir thoroughly to evenly coat the beef and onion. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to develop.
04 - Maintain the mixture over low heat until ready to serve. Optionally, transfer to a slow cooker set to warm to hold until assembling sandwiches.
05 - Spoon the hot filling onto sandwich buns. Serve immediately while warm.

# Notes:

01 - You can prepare the filling in advance and keep it warm in a slow cooker for parties or gatherings.
