Pour in Dr. Pepper Barbecue Sauce. Stir thoroughly to evenly coat the beef and onion. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to develop.

Maintain the mixture over low heat until ready to serve. Optionally, transfer to a slow cooker set to warm to hold until assembling sandwiches.
