Doritos BBQ Ranch Smash Burger (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Beef Patties

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
03 - 1/4 cup ranch dressing
04 - 1/2 cup crushed Doritos
05 - Salt, to taste
06 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Cheddar Flood

07 - 4 to 8 slices cheddar cheese or 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese sauce

→ Assembly

08 - 4 hamburger buns
09 - Extra crushed Doritos, for topping

# Steps:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, barbecue sauce, ranch dressing, and 1/2 cup crushed Doritos. Blend gently until just integrated. Season with salt and black pepper.
02 - Divide the mixture into 4 portions for single patties, or 8 for double-stacked burgers. Form each portion into a ball, gently flattening to the desired thickness.
03 - Heat a grill or heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Place each patty on the hot surface and smash flat. Sear for 3–4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
04 - For slices: Place cheddar cheese atop each patty during the final minute of cooking and allow to melt. For sauce: Drizzle cheddar cheese sauce generously over stacked patties before assembling.
05 - Lightly butter cut sides of hamburger buns and toast on a skillet or grill until golden brown.
06 - Start with the bottom bun, add burger patties, apply cheddar flood, top with extra crushed Doritos, and crown with the top bun. Serve immediately while hot and cheesy.

01 - Crushing Doritos by hand adds varied texture and crunch. For neater assembly, use cheese slices; for extra decadence, pour cheese sauce.
