Donut Grilled Cheese Bacon (Print Version)

Crispy bacon, cheddar, maple cinnamon, and golden donuts create a mouthwatering sweet-savory bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 2 glazed donuts, sliced horizontally
02 - 4 slices cheddar cheese
03 - 4 slices bacon

→ Flavor Infusion

04 - 2 tablespoons maple syrup
05 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
06 - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

# Steps:

01 - In a skillet set over medium heat, arrange the bacon slices in a single layer. Cook until crisp, turning as needed. Remove bacon from skillet and let drain on paper towels.
02 - In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and cayenne pepper, if desired, until thoroughly combined.
03 - Place the halved donuts, cut side down, in the same skillet. Toast for 1–2 minutes until golden brown and slightly crispy, then flip each piece.
04 - Arrange 2 slices of cheddar cheese onto each bottom donut half while still in the skillet.
05 - Crumble the cooked bacon and distribute evenly over the cheese-topped donut halves. Drizzle the maple syrup mixture over the bacon.
06 - Position the top halves of the donuts over the fillings. Press down gently, then cook for 1–2 minutes until the cheese melts and donuts are warmed throughout.
07 - Carefully remove from the skillet and serve immediately, ensuring the fillings remain intact.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, use freshly prepared or day-old glazed donuts to avoid excessive sogginess.
