# Ingredients:

→ Filling

01 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
02 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar
03 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
04 - 1/4 cup strawberry jam or preserves
05 - 2 tablespoons fresh strawberries, diced (optional)

→ Wonton and Frying

06 - 20 to 24 wonton wrappers
07 - Water for sealing edges
08 - Vegetable oil for frying

→ Serving (Optional)

09 - Whipped cream
10 - Strawberry jam or strawberry sauce
11 - Fresh strawberries, sliced

# Steps:

01 - In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in strawberry jam or preserves, and mix in diced strawberries if using.
02 - Place a wonton wrapper on a clean, flat surface. Add about 1 teaspoon of cheesecake filling to the center. Moisten the wrapper's edges lightly with water, fold the wrapper diagonally to form a triangle or envelope shape, and press to seal tightly, removing air pockets.
03 - Repeat filling and sealing process with remaining wonton wrappers and filling mixture.
04 - Pour vegetable oil into a deep skillet or heavy-bottomed saucepan to a depth of 1 to 2 inches. Heat oil to 350°F.
05 - Carefully fry wontons in batches for 1 to 2 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp. Avoid overcrowding the pan for even cooking.
06 - Remove fried wontons using a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
07 - Serve warm with whipped cream, extra strawberry jam or sauce for dipping, and fresh strawberry slices as desired.

# Notes:

01 - Seal wontons well to prevent the filling from leaking during frying. For best results, maintain oil temperature at 350°F to ensure crisp texture without overbrowning.
