Crunchy French Toast Cereal (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Egg Mixture

01 - 4 large eggs
02 - 160 ml whole milk
03 - 30 g all-purpose flour
04 - 50 g granulated sugar
05 - 0.25 teaspoon salt
06 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Bread & Coating

08 - 8 thick slices bread (such as Texas Toast)
09 - 2 heaping cups (70 g) crispy rice cereal or crushed corn flakes

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat a griddle to 175°C or warm a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
02 - Pour the crispy rice cereal or crushed corn flakes into a shallow plate or pie dish and set aside.
03 - Combine eggs, milk, flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla in a blender or a shallow dish. Blend or whisk thoroughly until mostly smooth; some flour lumps may remain.
04 - Pour the egg mixture into a separate shallow dish. Dip each bread slice into the mixture, coating both sides evenly.
05 - Press the soaked bread slices into the crispy cereal, ensuring an even layer on both sides.
06 - Melt a small amount of butter or apply cooking spray to the heated skillet. Arrange the coated bread slices in the pan and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
07 - Serve the French toast warm, topped with your preferred syrup or accompaniments.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, use day-old bread to prevent sogginess when dipped in the egg mixture.
