Crockpot Cheesesteak Potato Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Potato Mixture

01 - 1 1/2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and diced

→ Meat and Vegetable Mixture

02 - 1 pound ground beef or shaved steak
03 - 1 medium onion, diced
04 - 1 green bell pepper, diced
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced

→ Additional Ingredients

06 - 2 cups shredded cheddar or provolone cheese
07 - 1/2 cup beef broth
08 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
09 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
10 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
11 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
12 - Cooking spray or butter for greasing

# Steps:

01 - Coat the interior of the slow cooker with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking.
02 - In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or shaved steak over medium heat. Add diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic; sauté until vegetables are softened.
03 - In a large bowl, blend the cooked meat and vegetable mixture with diced potatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and paprika until uniformly mixed.
04 - Spoon half of the combined mixture into the prepared slow cooker, sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top, repeat with remaining mixture and finish with remaining cheese.
05 - Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until potatoes are fork-tender and cheese is melted throughout.
