Crispy Cajun Tofu Bites (Print Version)

Crunchy tofu bites tossed in Cajun spices, perfect for snacking or serving with your favorite dip.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 14 ounces extra-firm tofu, pressed and torn into bite-sized chunks

→ Marinade

02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
03 - 1 tablespoon coconut aminos or soy sauce
04 - 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
05 - 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
06 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
07 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
09 - 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey

# Steps:

01 - Press the extra-firm tofu for at least 10 minutes to remove excess moisture, then tear into uniform, bite-sized chunks.
02 - In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil or melted butter, coconut aminos or soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, ground black pepper, and maple syrup or honey.
03 - Add the tofu pieces to the marinade and toss to coat thoroughly. Let stand for 10 to 15 minutes to absorb flavors.
04 - Select a cooking method: For oven: Preheat to 400°F and bake tofu on a lined sheet for 30 minutes, flipping halfway for even crisping. For air fryer: Set to 375°F and air-fry tofu for 15 minutes, shaking basket halfway through. For skillet: Heat oil over medium-high and pan-fry tofu for about 7 minutes, turning frequently to crisp all surfaces.

# Notes:

01 - Tearing the tofu by hand creates rough edges for increased crispiness. For spicier bites, add extra Cajun seasoning to taste.
