Creamy Mashed Potatoes Easy (Print Version)

01 - 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
02 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
03 - 1 cup whole milk
04 - Salt, to taste
05 - Black pepper, to taste

# Steps:

01 - Place peeled and chopped potatoes into a large pot. Add water and a generous amount of salt. Bring to a boil and cook for 15–20 minutes, or until potatoes are fork tender.
02 - Drain the cooked potatoes thoroughly and return them to the warm pot to remove excess moisture.
03 - Add unsalted butter and whole milk to the potatoes. Mash carefully until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
04 - Sprinkle salt and freshly ground black pepper over the mash, tasting and adjusting as desired.

01 - For an extra smooth texture, use a potato ricer or food mill instead of a traditional masher.
