# Ingredients:

→ Pasta

01 - 8 ounces dry spaghetti

→ Sauce

02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
04 - 1 medium onion, chopped
05 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
06 - Salt, to taste
07 - Black pepper, to taste
08 - 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
09 - 1/2 cup white wine, such as Sauvignon blanc
10 - 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
11 - 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
12 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

# Steps:

01 - Boil spaghetti in a large pot of salted water according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water. Drain pasta.

03 - Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Pour in the white wine and simmer for 3 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce slightly.
04 - Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle boil. Add reserved pasta water and mix well. Simmer for 5 minutes or until sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
05 - Incorporate grated Parmesan cheese into the sauce. Add cooked spaghetti and toss until fully coated. Garnish with extra Parmesan and red pepper flakes before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For optimal flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese and high-quality olive oil.
