Creamy Bacon Cheddar Bagels (Print Version)

Soft bagels layered with creamy cheese, bacon, cheddar, and chives for a savory, satisfying bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Bagels and Fillings

01 - 4 plain bagels, sliced in half
02 - 8 slices thick-cut bacon
03 - 1 cup cream cheese, softened
04 - 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
05 - 1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped
06 - Salt, to taste
07 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
02 - Arrange thick-cut bacon slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes until crisp. Remove and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess grease.
03 - In a medium mixing bowl, thoroughly combine softened cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and finely chopped chives. Season evenly with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
04 - Toast bagel halves in a toaster or in the oven until golden and crisp.
05 - Evenly spread the cheese mixture onto each toasted bagel half.
06 - Break bacon slices into halves or thirds and arrange over the cheese-topped bagels.
07 - If desired, return assembled bagels to the oven for 5 minutes for additional warming and cheese melting.
08 - Serve bagels immediately while warm.

# Notes:

01 - Allow cream cheese to fully soften at room temperature to ensure an evenly creamy spread.
