Crack Chicken Penne (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta

01 - 10 oz penne pasta

→ Proteins

02 - 8 slices bacon, chopped
03 - 1 ½ lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts

→ Dairy

04 - 1 cup sour cream
05 - 4 oz cream cheese
06 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

→ Produce & Aromatics

07 - ½ yellow onion, minced
08 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
09 - Chopped green onions for garnish

→ Liquids

10 - 2 cups chicken broth

→ Seasonings

11 - 1 packet dry ranch dressing mix
12 - 1 tsp salt
13 - 1 tsp black pepper
14 - 2 tsp dried parsley

# Instructions:

01 - Cook penne pasta until al dente according to package directions. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside
02 - Cook chopped bacon in a large pot over medium-high heat until crispy. Remove to paper towels, leaving 1 tablespoon grease in pot
03 - Cut chicken into 1-inch cubes, season with salt and pepper, and cook in bacon grease until browned
04 - Add minced onion and cook until chicken is done and onions are soft. Add garlic and cook 1 minute more
05 - Add broth, sour cream, cream cheese, ranch mix, seasonings, and bacon. Bring to gentle boil, then reduce heat
06 - Stir in cheddar and pasta. Simmer 5 minutes, then top with green onions
