01 -
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, sour cream, ranch seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce. Gently mix until just incorporated, being careful not to overwork the meat.
02 -
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty. Press a shallow indentation in the center of each to promote even cooking.
03 -
Heat a griddle, cast-iron skillet, or grill over medium-high heat.
04 -
Season both sides of each patty with salt and black pepper. Place patties on the hot surface and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until well browned. Flip and continue cooking for 3 to 4 minutes more until burgers reach desired doneness.
05 -
During the final minute of cooking, lay one cheese slice on each patty and allow to melt.
06 -
Combine mayonnaise, ranch seasoning, pickle relish or pickle juice, and hot sauce in a small bowl. Stir until smooth and refrigerate until serving.
07 -
Lightly toast brioche or potato buns until golden.
08 -
Spread sauce on the buns. Add lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, onion, and the cheesy burger patty. Cap with bun top and serve immediately.
