Chop the shrimp into small, bite-sized pieces. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, chopped fresh parsley, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and, if desired, red pepper flakes. Stir thoroughly until evenly blended.

Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise. Carefully hollow out the center of each half, leaving a sturdy shell to support the filling while ensuring the crust remains intact.

Evenly distribute the prepared shrimp mixture into both hollowed bread halves. Press the filling gently but firmly to ensure each slice is fully loaded.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the outer crust of the bread generously with melted butter. Wrap each filled half in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
