05 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
06 - 3 cups all-purpose flour
07 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
08 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, beat softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar on medium-high speed until pale and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes.

04 - In a separate medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and kosher salt.
05 - Gradually incorporate dry mixture into the creamed butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
06 - Gently fold cotton candy flavored chips or colorful sprinkles into the dough until evenly distributed.
07 - Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets, spacing each portion 2 inches apart.
08 - Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and centers are set.
09 - Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for several minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

# Notes:

01 - For a chewier texture, avoid overbaking and remove from oven when edges are just golden.
