Coconut and Toffee Bars (Print Version)

Chewy bars with coconut, toffee, chocolate, and a buttery graham base, finished with sea salt.

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
02 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

→ Filling and Toppings

03 - 7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
04 - 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or roughly chopped dark chocolate (about 3 ounces)
05 - 1/4 cup toasted shredded coconut
06 - 1/4 cup toffee baking chips
07 - Sea salt, for sprinkling

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing overhang for easy removal.
02 - Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl. Mix until evenly moistened, then press firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
03 - Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the graham cracker base, spreading gently to cover.
04 - Scatter dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate, toasted coconut, and toffee baking chips evenly over the condensed milk layer. Sprinkle lightly with sea salt.
05 - Transfer pan to oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden around the edges and set in the center.
06 - Remove pan from oven and allow to cool completely. For clean cuts, chill briefly in the freezer before slicing into bars.

# Notes:

01 - For a firmer texture and cleaner slices, chill the bars in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes before cutting.
