Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Halve the peaches and remove pits. Arrange cut side up on a large baking sheet.

Place a small piece of butter in the center cavity of each peach half.

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the peach halves.

Bake for 8-12 minutes, until peaches are tender and golden around the edges.
