Christmas Tree Cake Truffles (Print Version)

Little Debbie cakes become truffles with chocolate coating, festive sprinkles, and seasonal candy melts.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 1 box Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)

→ Coating & Decoration

02 - 8 ounces white chocolate or white candy melts
03 - 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles
04 - 3 tablespoons red candy melts (for drizzling, optional)
05 - Green sanding sugar for garnish

# Steps:

01 - Unwrap Christmas Tree Cakes and place in a large mixing bowl.
02 - Blend cakes with a handheld mixer until a crumbled dough forms. Incorporate festive sprinkles and mix until evenly dispersed.
03 - Using a tablespoon, portion the dough and roll between your palms to form smooth balls. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
04 - Melt white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler until smooth.
05 - With a fork or dipping tool, submerge each chilled cake ball into melted white chocolate. Let excess chocolate drip off before placing back on the baking sheet.
06 - Melt red candy melts in a piping or zip-top bag using the microwave in 30-second intervals, kneading between each session until fully melted.
07 - Trim the tip of the piping bag and drizzle red candy melts over coated truffles. Sprinkle immediately with green sanding sugar. Refrigerate until set before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For evenly coated truffles, allow cake balls to chill before dipping in melted chocolate to help set the outer shell quickly.
