Easy Chicken and Cabbage Stir-Fry (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Protein & Produce

01 - 2 large chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
02 - 1 medium green cabbage (about 2 pounds), cored and chopped
03 - 1 medium onion, roughly chopped
04 - 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced

→ Fats & Seasonings

05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
06 - 1 tablespoon butter
07 - 1 teaspoon paprika
08 - Sea salt and fresh black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Start by getting your skillet nice and hot with the olive oil. Toss in those chicken pieces and give them a good sprinkle of salt and pepper. Cook them over medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring now and then, until they're just cooked through - you don't want them to get tough!
02 - Once your chicken is done, scoop it out of the pan and set it aside for now. We'll come back to it later!
03 - Drop that pat of butter into the same pan and throw in your chopped onions. Let them cook for about 3 minutes until they start to smell amazing.
04 - Now for the main event - add all that chopped cabbage to the pan. Let it cook uncovered for 10-15 minutes, giving it a stir every now and then. Don't worry if it seems like a lot at first - it'll start to wilt down from the bottom up, making it easier to stir. You'll know it's ready when the cabbage is nice and tender, and those onions have turned slightly golden and sweet.
05 - Toss in the minced garlic and paprika, letting those flavors wake up in the pan.
06 - Add your chicken back to the pan and let everything warm up together for a few minutes. Give it a taste and add more salt and pepper if needed - remember, cabbage loves salt, so don't be shy!

# Notes:

01 - This budget-friendly dish transforms simple ingredients into a comforting meal that's perfect for busy weeknights.
02 - Feel free to spice things up with smoked or hot paprika instead of regular paprika - make it your own!
03 - Don't worry too much about exact cabbage weight - after trimming, a 2-pound cabbage gives you the perfect amount for this recipe.
