# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, beat together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until mixture is light and fluffy.
03 - Add eggs one at a time to creamed mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until well blended.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, blending just until the flour is incorporated.
06 - Fold chopped maraschino cherries and semisweet chocolate chips gently into the dough.
07 - Scoop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing at least 2 inches apart.
08 - Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden. Centers will appear slightly soft.
09 - Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for several minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

# Notes:

01 - For best texture, ensure maraschino cherries are thoroughly drained and gently patted dry to prevent excess moisture in the dough.
