Cheesy Pickle Bacon Bombs (Print Version)

Bite-sized cheese treats with pickles, cheddar, bacon and ranch. Perfect chilled party snacks or appetizers.

# Ingredients:

→ Cheese and Dairy

01 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
02 - 2 cups shredded sharp or extra sharp cheddar cheese

→ Pickles and Vegetables

03 - 1 cup dill pickles, finely chopped

→ Mix-ins

04 - 1 tablespoon ranch dressing mix (optional)
05 - 1/2 cup bacon, crisply cooked and finely chopped or 2 envelopes real bacon bits (optional)

→ Optional Seasonings and Garnishes

06 - Dash of garlic powder or onion powder (optional)
07 - Chopped fresh chives or green onions (optional)
08 - Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Place softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped dill pickles, and ranch dressing mix in a medium mixing bowl. Add garlic powder, onion powder, chives, green onions, or cayenne pepper if desired. Mix thoroughly using a spatula or hand mixer until the mixture is smooth and evenly blended.
02 - Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and gently roll each into a ball with your hands. Ensure each ball is compact and holds its shape.
03 - If using bacon bits, spread them in a shallow dish. Roll each cheese ball in the bacon until fully coated on all sides.
04 - Arrange the coated balls on a tray or in an airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm before serving. Preparation can be done a day ahead to intensify flavors.
05 - Present chilled or at room temperature on a serving platter. Garnish with extra pickle slices, chives, or a light drizzle of ranch dressing if desired. Toothpicks are recommended for easy serving.

# Notes:

01 - For best flavor, let the cheese mixture chill overnight. Use full-fat cream cheese for optimal texture.
