# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 450 g steak, thinly sliced
02 - 1 teaspoon garlic salt
03 - 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
04 - 1 green bell pepper, sliced
05 - 1 onion, sliced
06 - 8 to 10 slices White American cheese
07 - 567 g frozen waffle cut fries
08 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

# Instructions:

01 - Set oven to 220°C.
02 - Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil. Once hot, add thinly sliced steak. Season with garlic salt and black pepper, stirring to coat evenly. Sauté until browned on all sides. Remove steak and set aside.
03 - Reserve 1 tablespoon cooking liquid in the skillet and discard the rest. Add green bell pepper and onion. Cook until vegetables are tender but bell pepper remains slightly crisp. Remove and set aside.
04 - Remove skillet from heat. Spread frozen waffle fries evenly in the skillet. Top with four slices of White American cheese. Layer on the cooked steak and sautéed vegetables. Repeat the process, finishing with the remaining cheese slices on top.
05 - Place skillet in the preheated oven. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbling.
06 - Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, and serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - For evenly cooked steak, slice against the grain and ensure uniform thickness.
02 - White American cheese delivers optimal melt and creaminess for this dish.
