Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to reach full temperature.

If using soft taco shells, lightly brush both sides with olive oil and arrange on a baking tray. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes until slightly crisp. Omit this step if using hard shells.

Spoon pizza sauce into the base of each taco shell. Generously sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Layer pepperoni slices over the cheese. Evenly scatter Parmesan cheese on top and finish with dried oregano and garlic powder.

Place assembled tacos on a baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is completely melted and bubbling and taco shells are golden.

Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve immediately while hot.
