Cheesy Ground Beef Rice (Print Version)

Creamy ground beef, rice and cheddar combine for a warm, satisfying baked mealtime favourite.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1.5 pounds ground beef
02 - 2 cups cooked white rice
03 - 1 10.75-ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup
04 - 0.5 cup whole milk
05 - 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
06 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
07 - 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 0.25 teaspoon onion powder
09 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until fully browned and no longer pink throughout.
03 - Drain excess fat from the cooked beef and discard.
04 - In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine browned beef, cooked rice, condensed cream of mushroom soup, whole milk, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
05 - Spread the beef and rice mixture evenly into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
06 - Evenly sprinkle the remaining 0.5 cup shredded cheddar cheese over the surface.
07 - Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and the casserole is hot and bubbling.
08 - Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

# Notes:

01 - For optimal flavor, shred your own cheddar cheese rather than using pre-shredded varieties.
