Cheesy Ground Beef Rice Casserole (Print Version)

Hearty beef, rice, and cheddar blend baked until golden and creamy for a satisfying family meal.

# Ingredients:

→ Casserole Base

01 - 680 grams ground beef
02 - 400 grams cooked white rice
03 - 305 grams condensed cream of mushroom soup
04 - 120 millilitres whole milk
05 - 100 grams shredded cheddar cheese
06 - 5 millilitres Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1.25 millilitres garlic powder
08 - 1.25 millilitres onion powder
09 - Salt to taste
10 - Black pepper to taste

→ Topping

11 - 50 grams shredded cheddar cheese

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 175°C.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until fully browned and no longer pink.
03 - Drain excess fat from the cooked beef.
04 - In a large mixing bowl, combine browned beef, cooked rice, condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, 100 grams shredded cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
05 - Spread the mixture evenly into a 23 x 33 centimetre baking dish.
06 - Sprinkle the remaining 50 grams shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
07 - Transfer the baking dish to the oven and bake for 25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the filling is hot and bubbling.
08 - Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

# Notes:

01 - For a crispier top, broil for the final 2 minutes of baking, monitoring closely to prevent burning.
