Cheesy Breakfast Sausage Rolls (Print Version)

Golden rolls packed with eggs, sausage, bacon, and melted cheddar for a flavorful breakfast treat.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 2 cans (8 ounces each) ready-to-bake crescent dough sheets

→ Egg Mixture

02 - 4 large eggs
03 - 2 tablespoons red bell pepper, finely diced
04 - 1 tablespoon whole milk
05 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Fillings

06 - 1/3 cup whipped chive and onion cream cheese
07 - 8 ounces ground breakfast sausage, cooked and drained
08 - 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
09 - 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, red bell pepper, milk, and black pepper. Pour the mixture into a skillet set over medium heat and scramble until just set. Transfer to a plate and allow to cool slightly.
03 - Unroll both crescent dough sheets onto a large surface. Pinch the long edges together to form a single large rectangle.
04 - Spread whipped chive and onion cream cheese evenly over the dough. Distribute scrambled eggs, cooked sausage, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese uniformly on top.
05 - Starting from a long side, tightly roll up the dough and fillings to create a log. Using a serrated knife, slice the roll into 12 equal pieces.
06 - Arrange the slices, cut side up, in the prepared baking dish. Bake for 24-26 minutes, or until golden brown on top. Serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - Allow the scrambled eggs to cool before assembling to prevent the dough from becoming soggy.
