Cheesy Bacon Ranch Skillet Chicken (Print Version)

Tender chicken, crispy bacon, melted cheddar, and creamy ranch blend in a hearty skillet favorite.

# Ingredients:

→ Protein

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 pounds)

→ Dairy

02 - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
03 - 1/4 cup heavy cream

→ Condiments

04 - 1/2 cup ranch dressing

→ Pork

05 - 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled

→ Spices

06 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
08 - Salt, to taste
09 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Oils

10 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

# Steps:

01 - Pat the chicken breasts dry thoroughly with paper towels. Season both sides using salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Place the seasoned chicken breasts into the hot skillet and sear undisturbed for 5 to 6 minutes per side, achieving a golden-brown crust and cooking through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
03 - Pour ranch dressing and heavy cream into the same skillet. Using a wooden spoon, deglaze by scraping up any browned bits. Stir constantly over medium heat for about 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
04 - Return chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon sauce over each piece. Distribute crumbled bacon evenly over the chicken and top with shredded cheddar cheese. Cover and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until cheese is fully melted and bubbling. Optionally, broil briefly for additional browning.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, allow the chicken to rest at room temperature for 15 minutes before cooking to promote even searing.
