Cheesecake Crescent Rolls Casserole (Print Version)

Layers of sweetened cream cheese and golden crescent dough meet in this cinnamon-topped baked dessert.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough

→ Filling

02 - 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
03 - 1 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Topping

05 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
06 - 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
07 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish to ensure easy release.
02 - Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pinching seams to seal.
03 - In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese with 1 cup granulated sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
04 - Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the crescent dough layer in the baking dish.
05 - Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and lay it over the cream cheese layer, again pinching seams together for a uniform surface.
06 - Brush melted butter over the top crescent roll layer. In a small bowl, combine ground cinnamon with 2 tablespoons sugar, then sprinkle the mixture evenly on top.
07 - Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crisp.
08 - Allow casserole to cool for at least 20 minutes to set before slicing into squares. Optionally, drizzle with honey prior to serving.

# Notes:

01 - For cleaner cuts and best texture, ensure the dessert has cooled completely before serving.
