01 -
Set the oven to preheat at 375°F (190°C).
02 -
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef or turkey with salt, pepper, and dried minced onion. Break up the meat as it cooks and sauté until it is no longer pink throughout. Drain off any excess grease.
03 -
Add the mustard, ketchup, and American cheese to the cooked meat mixture. Stir continuously until the cheese is fully melted and the mixture is evenly combined. Remove pan from heat and allow to cool slightly.
04 -
Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a work surface. Press all seams together firmly to form a single sheet. Using a sharp knife or dough cutter, divide the sheet into 6 equal rectangles.
05 -
Spoon a portion of the meat and cheese filling onto one half of each dough rectangle. Fold the other half of dough over the filling to cover it, then press the edges firmly to completely seal each pocket.
06 -
Place the assembled pockets on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the tops with the whisked egg and sprinkle evenly with sesame seeds.
07 -
Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.
