Cheeseburger Burritos Animal Style (Print Version)

Crispy fries, smashed beef, cheese, and secret sauce wrapped into a golden burrito.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 onion, finely chopped
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
03 - Yellow mustard, to taste
04 - 1 pound ground beef, shaped into 4 patties
05 - McCormick Hamburger Seasoning, to taste
06 - 4 large burrito-size flour tortillas
07 - 1 (28-ounce) bag crinkle-cut frozen French fries
08 - 8 slices American cheese

→ Sauce Ingredients

09 - 1/2 cup mayonnaise
10 - 1/4 cup ketchup
11 - 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
12 - 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
13 - 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
14 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
15 - 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

# Instructions:

01 - Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, sweet relish, vinegar, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly until smooth and refrigerate until assembly.
02 - Heat crinkle-cut French fries in an air fryer or conventional oven according to package directions until crisp and golden. Set aside.
03 - Form ground beef into four evenly sized patties if not pre-shaped.
04 - Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat. Melt butter and add chopped onions, cooking while stirring frequently until onions are softened and deeply caramelized.
05 - Place patties onto hot griddle. Press each with a burger smasher to flatten. Spread yellow mustard on each patty and season with hamburger seasoning. Allow a crust to develop, then flip and continue cooking until cooked through. Remove and chop into bite-sized pieces.
06 - Lay one tortilla flat. Spread a generous layer of animal-style sauce. Add a portion of fries, a slice of American cheese, chopped burger, caramelized onions, an additional slice of cheese, and a little more sauce. Fold and roll the tortilla into a tight burrito shape.
07 - Place rolled burritos seam-side down onto the hot griddle over medium heat. Cook until the exterior is golden brown and crisp on all sides. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
