Cheese Tortellini Shrimp Alfredo (Print Version)

Tender shrimp and cheese tortellini in a creamy Alfredo sauce, finished with parmesan and fresh parsley.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
02 - 1 package (9 ounces) cheese tortellini
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
05 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1 cup heavy cream
07 - 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
08 - Salt, to taste
09 - Black pepper, to taste
10 - Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

# Steps:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add cheese tortellini and cook according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, melt unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream, stirring constantly. Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until the sauce is silky and thickened.
04 - Return cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss in the Alfredo sauce. Add reserved tortellini and gently stir to coat everything evenly with the sauce.
05 - Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and additional Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately while hot.

# Notes:

01 - For optimal texture, avoid overcooking the shrimp; they should be just opaque when added back to the sauce.
