Ultimate Cheese Sauce Fries (Print Version)

Rich, creamy cheddar sauce blends perfectly with hot fries. Delicious for dipping or pouring, ready in minutes.

# Ingredients:

→ Sauce Base

01 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
02 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
03 - 1 cup whole milk, warmed

→ Cheese & Seasoning

04 - 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
05 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
07 - Salt, to taste
08 - Black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium saucepan set over medium heat, melt the butter until fully liquefied. Sprinkle in the flour and whisk continuously for approximately 1 minute until a smooth, pale-colored paste forms and begins to bubble.
02 - Gradually pour in the warmed milk, whisking constantly to eliminate any lumps. Maintain whisking until the mixture thickens to a velvety consistency, about 2 to 3 minutes.
03 - Reduce the heat to low. Add the shredded cheddar cheese in small portions, stirring continuously. Allow the cheese to melt fully, creating a glossy and unified sauce.
04 - Blend in garlic powder and paprika. Season with salt and black pepper to your preference, ensuring even distribution throughout the sauce.
05 - Pour the hot cheese sauce generously over freshly cooked fries or present as a dipping sauce. Serve right away to ensure a silky smooth texture.

# Notes:

01 - For a smoother sauce, use freshly shredded cheese rather than pre-shredded to prevent clumping.
