Cheddar Egg Quesadilla (Print Version)

Golden tortillas filled with melted cheddar and fluffy eggs—perfect for a tasty, satisfying meal anytime.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 large flour tortillas
02 - 3 large eggs
03 - 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

→ Cooking Fats

04 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter or vegetable oil

→ Seasonings

05 - Salt, to taste
06 - Ground black pepper, to taste

→ Optional Garnishes

07 - Finely chopped green onions
08 - Salsa
09 - Hot sauce

# Steps:

01 - Place a nonstick skillet over medium heat and melt the butter or add oil, ensuring even coverage of the base.
02 - In a bowl, whisk the eggs with salt and pepper until well blended, then pour into the skillet. Scramble gently until just set, then transfer to a plate.
03 - Wipe the skillet clean and lay one tortilla flat in the pan. Evenly distribute half of the shredded cheddar over the tortilla and layer the warm scrambled eggs on top, followed by the remaining cheese.
04 - Position the second tortilla over the filling to form a sandwich.
05 - Cook over medium heat until the bottom turns golden brown and the cheese starts to melt, about 2 to 3 minutes. Carefully flip the quesadilla with a spatula and brown the other side for another 2 to 3 minutes until crisp and heated through.
06 - Remove from the skillet, slice into wedges, and serve warm. Accompany with chopped green onions, salsa, or hot sauce if desired.

# Notes:

01 - For easiest flipping, use a wide spatula and slide a plate under the quesadilla if needed for stability.
02 - Pre-shredded cheese melts quickly and distributes evenly in this preparation.
