Ground beef and cheddar blend topped with fluffy Cheddar Bay biscuits and baked to a golden finish.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 1.5 pounds lean ground beef
02 - 1 yellow onion, diced
03 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
04 - 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cheddar soup
05 - 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup

→ Biscuit Topping

06 - 1 box Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix
07 - 2 cups whole milk, divided
08 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with cooking spray.
02 - In a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and diced onion, stirring frequently, until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
03 - Add condensed cheddar soup, cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup shredded cheddar, 1 cup milk, salt, and black pepper to skillet. Mix thoroughly and heat until cheese is melted and mixture is combined.
04 - Evenly spread beef mixture into prepared baking dish. Sprinkle remaining shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
05 - In a mixing bowl, combine Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix with reserved shredded cheddar and 1 cup milk. Stir until just combined. Pour and distribute batter gently over the beef layer.
06 - Bake uncovered in the center of oven for 50 to 55 minutes, or until the biscuit topping is risen and golden brown.
07 - Stir seasoning packet into melted butter and brush over the hot biscuit topping immediately before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Allow casserole to cool slightly before serving for cleaner portions.
