Cabbage and Ground Beef Bake (Print Version)

Ground beef, cabbage, rice, and tomatoes come together for a hearty, comforting baked meal.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 small cabbage, shredded
02 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
03 - 450 grams ground beef (16 ounces)
04 - 410 grams canned diced tomatoes with juice (14.5 ounces)
05 - 200 grams cooked rice (1 cup)

→ Seasonings

06 - 5 grams paprika (2 teaspoons)
07 - 5 grams garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
08 - 15 millilitres Worcestershire sauce (1 tablespoon)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and cook the finely chopped onion until translucent.
03 - Add shredded cabbage, canned diced tomatoes with juice, cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and garlic powder to the skillet. Stir until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
04 - Simmer the mixture over low heat for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
05 - Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and cover tightly with aluminum foil.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the cabbage has softened.
07 - Remove from the oven and allow the dish to rest for several minutes before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For additional depth of flavor, substitute half of the ground beef with ground pork or use smoked paprika.
