Flaky, buttery biscuits with a golden, crisp top and tender crumb—perfect for any meal.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
03 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
04 - 1 teaspoon salt
05 - 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold and cubed
06 - 3/4 cup buttermilk, cold

# Steps:

01 - Heat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly blended.
03 - Add cold, cubed unsalted butter to the bowl. Use a pastry cutter or fingertips to rub in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
04 - Pour cold buttermilk into the bowl and gently stir just until the dough starts to come together, avoiding overmixing.
05 - Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Pat and fold the dough gently over itself 4 to 5 times to build layers.
06 - Roll dough to approximately 1 inch thickness. Cut biscuits using a floured round cutter.
07 - Arrange biscuits on prepared baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until tops are golden brown.

# Notes:

01 - For flakier results, ensure butter and buttermilk remain cold throughout the process.
