08 - 4 sub rolls

→ To Serve

09 - Additional BBQ sauce, as needed
10 - Chopped onion, optional
11 - Pickle chips, optional

# Steps:

01 - Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and allow to fully preheat.
02 - In a large bowl, combine ground beef with salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and bourbon BBQ sauce. Mix gently until evenly incorporated.
03 - Divide the seasoned beef into four portions and shape into oblong patties sized to fit the sub rolls.
04 - Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side or until well-browned and cooked through.
05 - Place each cooked patty inside a sub roll. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped bacon.
06 - Place the filled subs on a baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
07 - Remove from oven. Drizzle with additional BBQ sauce and garnish with chopped onion and pickle chips as desired before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For extra flavor, use freshly baked sub rolls and allow patties to rest for a few minutes after cooking to retain juiciness.
