Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and allow to fully preheat.

In a large bowl, combine ground beef with salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and bourbon BBQ sauce. Mix gently until evenly incorporated.

Divide the seasoned beef into four portions and shape into oblong patties sized to fit the sub rolls.

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side or until well-browned and cooked through.

Place each cooked patty inside a sub roll. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped bacon.

Place the filled subs on a baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from oven. Drizzle with additional BBQ sauce and garnish with chopped onion and pickle chips as desired before serving.
