# Ingredients:

→ For the dough

01 - 3 ¼ cups (400g) all-purpose flour
02 - 1/4 cup (50g) sugar
03 - 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
04 - 2 ¼ tsp (7g) active dry yeast, or 25g fresh yeast
05 - 1 cup (240ml) lukewarm milk, divided
06 - 1 egg
07 - 1 tsp (5g) vanilla extract
08 - 1/4 cup (56g) butter, softened

→ Cream Cheese Filling

09 - 10 oz (300g) cream cheese
10 - 1 egg
11 - 3 tbsp (24g) powdered sugar
12 - 1 tsp (5g) vanilla extract

→ For topping

13 - Fresh blueberries
14 - 1 egg, for brushing
15 - Powdered sugar, for dusting

# Instructions:

01 - Mix the yeast with a teaspoon of sugar and a quarter cup of warm milk in a large bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it gets all bubbly and active.
02 - Add the rest of your ingredients - the flour, remaining sugar and salt, the rest of the milk, an egg, some vanilla, and that softened butter. Get your hands dirty and knead everything together for 5-7 minutes until the dough feels smooth and starts pulling away from the bowl.
03 - Pop the dough into an oiled bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it hang out in a warm spot for about an hour until it's doubled in size.
04 - Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each into a nice round bun. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with a kitchen towel, and let them rest for another 15-20 minutes.
05 - While the buns are resting, go ahead and preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
06 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Transfer this mixture to a piping bag fitted with a plain tip.
07 - Press the center of each bun using a flour-dipped glass to create a well. Pipe the cream cheese filling into each well and top with fresh blueberries. Brush the edges with beaten egg to give them a nice golden color when baked.
08 - Bake the buns for about 20 minutes or until they're beautifully golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly before enjoying.
09 - Dust with a little powdered sugar just before serving for that perfect finishing touch.
