Best Mothers Crack Cake (Print Version)

Soft yellow cake packed with cinnamon and brown sugar, finished with a warm vanilla glaze for extra comfort.

# Ingredients:

→ Cake Batter

01 - 1 box yellow cake mix (Duncan Hines, 15.25 oz)
02 - 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
03 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz)
05 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
06 - 4 large eggs
07 - 3/4 cup water
08 - 3/4 cup vegetable oil

→ Optional Glaze

09 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
10 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
11 - 1/4 cup water

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Generously grease and flour a bundt pan to ensure easy release after baking.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together yellow cake mix, brown sugar, granulated sugar, instant vanilla pudding mix, and cinnamon. Add eggs, water, and oil. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until a silky smooth batter forms.
03 - Pour the batter evenly into the prepared bundt pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
04 - Place in the center of the oven and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the deepest part comes out clean.
05 - Allow the cake to rest in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack. Let cool completely before glazing or serving.
06 - For the glaze, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, whisking until sugar fully dissolves. Remove from heat.
07 - Drizzle the warm glaze evenly over the cooled cake. Slice and serve as desired.

# Notes:

01 - To ensure a moist crumb, do not overmix the batter—beat just until incorporated.
