BBQ Bacon Cheddar Bombs (Print Version)

Bacon and cheddar in biscuit dough, baked then glazed with BBQ honey for a savory, cheesy appetizer.

# Ingredients:

→ Filling and Dough

01 - 8 slices thick-cut bacon
02 - 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, cut into cubes
03 - 16 ounces refrigerated biscuit dough

→ Sauce and Glaze

04 - 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, plus extra for dipping
05 - 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for sweeter glaze)

→ Garnish

06 - Chopped green onions or parsley (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a baking pan.
02 - Cook bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes until just beginning to crisp yet still pliable. Transfer to paper towels to drain and cool slightly. Cut each bacon slice in half.
03 - Flatten each biscuit dough portion slightly. Place a cube of cheddar cheese in the center and top with half a slice of cooked bacon. Wrap biscuit dough around filling and seal edges well. Repeat until all pieces are assembled.
04 - Place prepared bombs seam-side down on the baking sheet, leaving space between each. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until golden and fully cooked.
05 - If using, mix barbecue sauce and honey. Brush over freshly baked bombs for sheen and flavor. Sprinkle with chopped green onions or parsley as desired.
06 - Serve warm with extra barbecue sauce for dipping.

# Notes:

01 - Do not overcook bacon in the initial stage to maintain its flexibility for wrapping around cheese.
