Baked Pears with Berries (Print Version)

Golden pears baked with berries, walnuts, blue cheese, and a honey drizzle. Delicious hot or at room temp.

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 ripe pears, halved and cored
02 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
03 - 1/2 cup mixed fresh berries, such as blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries
04 - 1/2 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
05 - 1/4 cup blue cheese, crumbled
06 - 2 tablespoons honey
07 - Fresh thyme sprigs, for garnish (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
03 - Place halved and cored pears cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
04 - Brush the exposed surfaces of the pears with melted butter to promote an even, golden finish.
05 - Bake pears for 15 to 20 minutes, or until tender but still holding their shape.
06 - Remove pears from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
07 - Evenly distribute mixed berries over the baked pears, then top with crumbled blue cheese.
08 - Scatter chopped walnuts and drizzle honey over each pear half.
09 - Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs if desired, and serve warm or at room temperature.
