In a small bowl, thoroughly mix brown sugar with chili powder until evenly combined.

Individually encase each frozen tater tot in a piece of bacon, securing with a toothpick through the sides.

Roll each bacon-wrapped tater tot in the sugar and chili mixture until fully coated. Arrange in a single layer on the prepared wire rack.

Bake on the middle oven rack for 20 to 25 minutes, or until bacon turns crisp and tater tots are golden brown.
