Soft apple fritters baked and drizzled with sweet vanilla glaze. Perfect for a cozy homemade treat.

# Ingredients:

→ Fritters

01 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
06 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
07 - 1/2 cup whole milk
08 - 1 large egg
09 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
10 - 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and diced

→ Glaze

11 - 1 cup powdered sugar
12 - 2 to 3 tablespoons whole milk
13 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or light coating of nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until evenly blended.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk milk, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
04 - Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and mix gently just until incorporated; avoid overmixing. Fold in diced apple evenly.
05 - Drop rounded spoonfuls (about 2 tablespoons each) of batter onto prepared baking sheet, spacing each mound roughly 2 inches apart. Shape gently if needed.
06 - Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into a fritter comes out clean.
07 - While fritters bake, whisk powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth. For thinner glaze, add an additional tablespoon of milk as needed.
08 - Let fritters cool slightly, then drizzle or brush glaze generously over top. Serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - Avoid overmixing the batter to maintain a light, fluffy texture.
