→ Burger Patties

01 - 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
02 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
03 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
04 - Salt, to taste
05 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Lasagna Layer

06 - 1 1/2 cups seasoned meat sauce
07 - 1 cup ricotta cheese or ricotta-style cheese
08 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese or mozzarella-style cheese

→ Bacon & Assembly

09 - 8 to 10 slices bacon, cooked until crisp
10 - 4 burger buns, toasted
11 - Butter or oil, for cooking
12 - Optional: lettuce leaves
13 - Optional: tomato slices
14 - Optional: extra meat sauce, for topping

# Steps:

01 - Combine ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl.
02 - Divide mixture into 4 equal parts and shape into thick burger patties.
03 - Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of butter or oil. Cook patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side until fully cooked and browned. Set cooked patties aside.
04 - In a small bowl, combine ricotta cheese with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese and mix until blended.
05 - Place seasoned meat sauce in a saucepan over low heat and warm gently, stirring as needed.
06 - Place the bottom bun on a plate. Set one cooked burger patty on the bun. Top with a generous spoonful of warm meat sauce, then spread a layer of the ricotta-mozzarella mixture over the sauce. Arrange 2 or 3 slices of crisp bacon on top. Add a second spoonful of meat sauce, then sprinkle with the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese. Add lettuce and tomato if desired.
07 - Cover the assembled burgers loosely with foil or a lid and place over low heat for 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese is melted and toppings are warmed through. Top with the remaining bun and serve immediately while hot.

# Notes:

01 - To ensure crisp bacon and prevent soggy buns, drain bacon thoroughly and assemble burgers just before serving.
02 - For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef.
