05 - 1 bag Doritos chips, nacho cheese or cool ranch flavor (10 to 12 ounces)

06 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
08 - Salt, to taste
09 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

10 - 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

# Steps:

01 - Place softened cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl. If not fully softened, microwave for 15–20 seconds, ensuring it does not melt.
02 - Add sour cream to the cream cheese, followed by garlic powder and onion powder. Mix together using a hand mixer or spatula until smooth and fully incorporated.
03 - Fold in crumbled cooked bacon and shredded cheddar cheese, reserving a small portion of each for topping.
04 - Season mixture with salt and freshly ground black pepper to desired taste, considering saltiness from the bacon and cheese.
05 - Spread a generous layer of Doritos on the base of a large serving platter or oven-safe baking dish, gently breaking chips as needed to create an even foundation.
06 - Evenly spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the Doritos layer using a spatula.
07 - Add a second layer of Doritos followed by the remaining cream cheese mixture, gently spreading to cover.
08 - Sprinkle reserved crumbled bacon and cheddar cheese over the top. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
