07 - 12 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces

# Steps:

01 - In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground Italian sausage, ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic, stirring frequently, until the meats are browned and the onion is translucent. Drain off excess fat.
02 - Add chicken broth to the pot and bring to a boil, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
03 - Reduce heat to low, stir in the heavy cream and broken lasagna noodles, then simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
04 - Stir in shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheeses are fully melted and the soup is creamy.
05 - Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste. Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish each serving with fresh basil leaves.
