Air Fryer Caramelized Pineapple (Print Version)

Air-fried pineapple golden with brown sugar and cinnamon, perfect with a touch of lime zest.

# Ingredients:

→ Fruit

01 - 5 fresh pineapple slices, approximately 1/4 inch thick, cored

→ Sweetener and Seasoning

02 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
03 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
04 - Lime zest, for garnish (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Core the pineapple and slice into rings roughly 1/4 inch thick.
02 - Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes to ensure even caramelization.
03 - In a small bowl, thoroughly mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
04 - Arrange pineapple slices in the air fryer basket in a single, even layer. Lightly sprinkle with half the sugar mixture.
05 - Set the air fryer to 380°F and cook pineapple slices for 7 to 8 minutes.
06 - Turn over each pineapple ring, sprinkle with the remaining sugar mixture, and return to the air fryer.
07 - Continue cooking for another 7 to 8 minutes until caramelized and golden.
08 - Transfer caramelized pineapple to a serving plate. Garnish with lime zest and serve, optionally paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

# Notes:

01 - For optimum results, cut pineapple slices evenly for consistent caramelization. Leftovers are excellent for topping oatmeal, yogurt, or pancakes.
