# Ingredients:

→ Meat Filling

01 - 1 pound ground beef, turkey, or chicken
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 small onion, diced
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 packet taco seasoning or 2 tablespoons homemade blend
06 - 1/2 cup tomato sauce or salsa
07 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Taco Assembly

08 - 10 small taco shells, flour or corn, warmed
09 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend

→ Fresh Toppings

10 - 1 cup lettuce, finely shredded
11 - 1/2 cup tomatoes, diced
12 - 1/2 cup red onion, diced
13 - 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

→ Optional Add-ons

14 - Sour cream, for serving
15 - Sliced jalapeños, for serving
16 - Guacamole, for serving
17 - Hot sauce, for serving

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a baking dish or line with foil.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant. Incorporate ground beef and break apart with a spoon, cooking until no longer pink.
03 - Add taco seasoning and tomato sauce to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Stir well and simmer on low for 5 minutes, allowing flavors to blend.
04 - Fill each taco shell with the warm meat mixture. Top generously with shredded cheese and arrange tacos upright in the prepared baking dish.
05 - Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until cheese is melted and tacos are crisp around the edges.
06 - Remove tacos from the oven and garnish with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, red onions, and chopped cilantro. Offer sour cream, guacamole, jalapeños, or hot sauce as desired.
