Garlic Shrimp Pasta Meal (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound uncooked spaghetti

→ Seafood

02 - 1 pound medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed

→ Aromatics

03 - 6 to 8 cloves garlic, finely minced

→ Fats and Oils

04 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
05 - 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided

→ Seasonings

06 - Italian seasoning, to taste
07 - Fine sea salt, to taste
08 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
09 - Red pepper flakes, to taste

10 - Chopped fresh herbs, optional

# Steps:

01 - Boil a large pot of salted water. Add spaghetti and cook for 9 to 11 minutes until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water. Drain and set aside.
02 - Rinse the shrimp and pat dry thoroughly.
03 - In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until starting to turn pink.
04 - Add minced garlic to the skillet with shrimp. Continue cooking for 5 to 7 minutes until shrimp become opaque.
05 - Drizzle in remaining olive oil. Toss cooked pasta into skillet. Season with Italian seasoning, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt. Pour in 1/4 cup reserved pasta water, adding more as needed.
06 - Toss over medium heat until pasta is fully coated and heated through. Garnish with fresh chopped herbs if desired. Serve immediately.

01 - Use high-quality olive oil and fresh garlic for superior flavor. Reserve extra pasta water in case the sauce needs adjusting consistency.
